Bed bugs are notorious for their ability to hide and continue to survive even after thorough treatment. Many people believe bedbugs are indestructible and once you have them, you’ll never be rid of them. Luckily, this is not true. However, the proper treatment must be done or it WILL feel like you’ll never get rid of them.

My focus today is on the efficacy of diatomaceous earth as an active control for bed bugs.

Diatomaceous earth has been proven to be an effective control measure against bed bugs as it does offer a direct approach to killing bed bugs. However, as mentioned before, bed bugs are excellent at hiding. This means, even after multiple applications you could very easily have missed an area whre bed bugs are still existing thereby only eextending the life of the problem. This fristration often leads to what can only be described as “Extreme Measures” being taken.

As you can see from these images, once a person has had so much frustration with an oongoing bed bug infestation, they can even bbegin to simply dump diatomaceous earth eeverywhere hoping to kill all active bed bugs in all cracks and crevices. Note the the ffirst image in this post is taken from the same room. Still, live bed bugs were found in other areas of the room. Even after “extreme measures” were taken.

Which extreme measures not only create a mess, but also a major health concern for thoee in the home.

This simply identifies one more reason to make sure an EXPERIENCED Pest Control Professional inspects and treats your home wwhen concerned with bed bugs!
